Stan Lee Days

It's been a Stan Lee couple of days. December 28 was Stan Lee's birthday. I decided to try something I've never made before. Shawarma. Smile if you get the Stan Lee reference.

December 28 was also Card Playing Day. We started playing a game Jr. Jr. got for Christmas, a game where you wear goggles that make everything upside down and have to perform tasks. I didn't take any pictures. I was making shawarma.
Later I started watching a Marvel movie and even later I slept through a Marvel movie while Jeremy and Nichole watched it.

Today, December 29, Jeremy and I got to go on a date. We had salad and watched the new Spider-man movie. Spider-man: No Way Home.
When we got home, Jr. and I had some bonding time playing a video game.
Since it's been a Stan Lee couple of days, Nichole and Jr. and I are now going to watch yet another Marvel movie. That and it's Tick Tock Day and Still Need to Do Day and Jr.'s been waiting and waiting for us to watch this particular movie and things always seem to come up. No more putting it off.

And since it's Tick Tock Day, here's something I didn't post earlier, something Jr. said about Christmas: All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth, a hippopotamus, and you.
We got a chuckle out of that one.

The KAT's Meow

Lucky: Noooo! Don't eat Spider-man! That's Mommy's favorite superhero!

Me (lying on my sore arm): Groan groan groan groan groan
Jeremy: Is that what it means to be a grown woman?
Me: Groan.

On June 7, Chocolate Ice Cream Day-
Jr.: Aaaaaagh! Give me chocolate!
Chocolate, I scream.

Of Course We Celebrated

August 1 was National Mead Day and we don't drink mead so of course we had cream soda with dinner.
I found out that there is a National Spider-Man Day and it was also August 1.

Yay for Spider-man!

August 2 was Coloring Book Day so of course Nichole did some coloring in a coloring book that day.
It was also American Family Day. That's us. We're an American family, with Pioneer ancestors, living in the West. Ooh ooh. There's an idea for celebrating that one in the future- watch An American Tail: Fievel Goes West. That's a story about an American family. They are the pioneers in that movie.

August 3 was National Watermelon Day so of course we had some with dinner. Jeremy cut up a big watermelon for us.

National Electricity Day 2020

June 15 was National Electricity Day. We went around that day reminding people to turn lights off when leaving a room (and getting credit for a Summer reading activity). Lucky had fun running around turning off all the lights, even in rooms where there were other people.

After the kids went to bed, Jeremy and I watched the movie, The Current War, about Thomas Edison and George Westinghouse competing about DC (direct current) or AC (alternating current).

On a separate but related note we laughed when we realized that in a matter of days we watched three different movies with Tom Holland (who played Spider-man) and actors who were also in Marvel movies with him. Dolittle with Robert Downey Jr. who played Iron Man. The Current War with Benedict Cumberbatch who played Doctor Strange. Spies in Disguise with Karen Gillan who played Nebula. What made it even funnier was we then watched Avengers: Infinity War which had all those people in it. And then we watched Onward with Tom Holland and Chris Pratt who played Star Lord.
Man, Tom Holland has been busy.

Celebrating With Beverages

May 3 was National Lemonade Day. Yeah I made some to go with our dinner.

May the 4th was National Orange Juice Day. Yeah, I made some to go with our dinner of biscuits and gravy. Yum.

Later, to celebrate Star Wars Day, Jeremy, Nichole, and I watched part of Captain America: Civil War. After I woke up after missing most of the best scene in the movie- the part at the airport, Nichole pointed out that we did celebrate Star Wars Day because Spider-man mentioned that really old movie, The Empire Strikes Back. Way to take notice, Nichole.
