Last Days of School Pics

I got a picture of Nichole the day after finals.
I got a picture of Jr. the day after finals.
I got a picture of Jr. Jr. before school the last day of school.
I got a picture of Lucky and Jet before school the last day of school.
Jet and Lucky both made cards to give to their teachers along with a treat and a balloon flower.

Birthday Goals

We reached the last day of school. I remembered to get last day of school pictures of the boys.
Last month I got a picture of Nichole while she was taking her last final. So I got her last day of picture, too.
When I told Jeremy that I got last day of school pictures of the boys, he sent me a "last few minutes of break" picture so I could add that to the collection. I love my husband.
I also celebrated my birthday.
When Jeremy asked me how birding had gone, he asked me if I'd spotted anything rare. I told him, "Nothing rare. Juvenile robins and starlings." It gave him the impression that those were the only things I'd seen. I had to quickly mention that I had seen a lot of other birds but those were the ones I don't see as often. I did see Western Tanagers for the first time this year. It was relaxing going birding that day.

End of School Days

Some school things that happened in May:
Lucky did a report and project on the Arctic. He made a diorama showing animals and plants with the Northern Lights in the background.

I took Jr. Jr. and Lucky to say Goodbye to their principal who retired. Coincidence that they all matched the decorations?

Jr. and Nichole had their last concert at the school. Nichole composed two pieces that the combined orchestras performed and she conducted. She got a paper plate award for it.
The weather was gorgeous when we got out of the concert.

Jr. went to his last official day of classes. It's hard to know when school ends at the high school because it kind of fizzles out every year. But I got a picture of Jr. on his last day of classes.
Nichole had another orchestra festival that day. Busy busy.

Nichole had an awards night at the high school.

I went to see Jr. Jr. and Lucky at their dance festival. Good job boys.

Because, like I said, chaos, the last day of school came up for the elementary schoolers and I had completely forgotten to help them do anything for their teachers. So last minute, they wrote cards and took apples to their teachers. Sigh.
The end of school was crazy but we all survived.

The School Year Ends

We did it. We survived the school year. The last day of school for Jr., Jr. Jr., and Lucky, I was going around singing, "Today is the day. It's the last day of school. So many new things to learn and do... for Summer Reading!" Yeah. CoComelon is still a thing in our home (and I'm excited about Summer Reading). I did throw a little Finding Nemo in there and called out, "Last day of school! Last day of school!" when dropping Jr. off to perform in the end of the school year musical assembly.

I made last day of school breakfast burritos for everybody this year. Aren't I nice?
Jr. was so tired that morning.

I got pictures of the boys before school. It was a sunny morning.

And a quick picture of Lucky after school because we had to run back to the school because he was missing a couple things we never found. Sigh.
We survived.

Last Day of School! Last Day of School!

May is always so crazy with the school year finishing out. I was so glad I got first day of school pictures of the kids back in August. I managed to get last day of school pictures of the boys this year.
Lucky and Jr. Jr. both made gifts for their teachers and cards to go along with them. Lucky made his teacher a balloon flower. Jr. Jr. made his teacher a ship since that was the theme in her classroom. He even made an anchor for it. Inside were paper coins with the names of all the students in the class this year.
For Nichole, school kind of just ended so she didn't have an official last day of school (reminds me of 2020). She went one day when they were doing yearbook signings then I called the office to figure out the schedule for the rest of the week and they said to just keep her home. There weren't any classes that week. O.K.? So she got caught up on sleep and other things.
I didn't get a picture of Nichole on the last day she went to school, but here she is the last day the boys had school.
Since that day was also Grape Popsicle Day, May 27, we did something we haven't done in a long time. We pulled out the popsicle mold and poured Kool-aid in to make our own popsicles. Nice.
