I got a picture of Nichole the day after finals.
I got a picture of Jr. the day after finals.
I got a picture of Jr. Jr. before school the last day of school.
I got a picture of Lucky and Jet before school the last day of school.
Jet and Lucky both made cards to give to their teachers along with a treat and a balloon flower.

Another World Record... But Not Ours

In 2015, my husband along with Thanksgiving Point, broke a world record for "largest modeling balloon sculpture by an individual."
Jeremy did all the balloon twisting and things required for breaking the record. Thanksgiving Point provided the space and paid for an adjudicator to come out. Both Jeremy and Thanksgiving Point did more than just what I mentioned and both names were on the certificate. It was a neat experience.
Because of that, a picture of our whole family (sans Jet), is in the 2017 Guinness Book of World Records, the actual book, with the giant balloon dog in the background.
This is what Thanksgiving Point said about it recently:

Last week, Thanksgiving Point went for a new world record, "most flower bulbs planted in an hour." They asked Jeremy to provide some decorations so Wednesday and Thursday, Jeremy twisted, and Thursday night I helped him deliver and place the finishing touches on eight 5-feet something inches balloon tulips.
Friday morning Thanksgiving Point attempted to break the record... and they did it!
Yay, Thanksgiving Point! We love you!

P.S. After the event, they put the balloon tulips around the visitor's center at the gardens. They were somewhat sad looking by the time we got to them Wednesday of this week to take them down.
We're still cute, though.

Last Day of School! Last Day of School!

May is always so crazy with the school year finishing out. I was so glad I got first day of school pictures of the kids back in August. I managed to get last day of school pictures of the boys this year.
Lucky and Jr. Jr. both made gifts for their teachers and cards to go along with them. Lucky made his teacher a balloon flower. Jr. Jr. made his teacher a ship since that was the theme in her classroom. He even made an anchor for it. Inside were paper coins with the names of all the students in the class this year.
For Nichole, school kind of just ended so she didn't have an official last day of school (reminds me of 2020). She went one day when they were doing yearbook signings then I called the office to figure out the schedule for the rest of the week and they said to just keep her home. There weren't any classes that week. O.K.? So she got caught up on sleep and other things.
I didn't get a picture of Nichole on the last day she went to school, but here she is the last day the boys had school.
Since that day was also Grape Popsicle Day, May 27, we did something we haven't done in a long time. We pulled out the popsicle mold and poured Kool-aid in to make our own popsicles. Nice.

Make A Hat Day 2020

September 15 was Make a Hat Day. I made a balloon hat with flowers.

Jeremy made me a better balloon hat. I added a flower.

It was also Agatha Christie's birthday. I watched a movie based on a play based on an Agatha Christie novel.

Mommy, Look

I'm going to call this a spearmint flower, because you can do this.
