Pizza Face

January 8 was Elvis's birthday. We put on Lilo & Stitch (animated movie).

January 9 was my niece's birthday. I mentioned it to the kids.
Jet wanted to help make pizza with me.
He must have remembered what I said about his cousin's birthday because he insisted on making a face with onions on the pizza then said, "He's excited because it's his birthday tomorrow."
When it was time to cut the pizza, I had to be very careful not to cut the face so we got a little creative with how the pizza was cut. Jet was very good at instructing me where to make the cuts. I love him so much.

I Love This!

I love my kids. Any chance to make a face. It's great.

School Picture Day

The elementary school was having school picture day so I told the boys I was going to comb their hair nicely before they left for school.

Lucky was so good for me.

Jr. Jr. was, too.

Mommy: There. All ready for school picture day.

He loved it.

I tweaked it a little and took another picture of him.

He told me both pictures are funny. The one because of his hair and the other because he decided to make a face.

I told the boys not to run around while their hair dried. They again were so good with that.

And as soon as Jr. Jr. got to the bus stop, he put his hood up over his hair. Ha!

Where Did It Go?

Jeremy got rid of his beard. When Jet saw him, he was a little concerned. I don't think he's ever seen him without a beard. After a while of hearing Dad's voice coming out of this beardless face, it looked as if Jet was looking for the missing beard, touching Dad's face and looking around for it.
Where did it go?
Eventually he got distracted by a button on Dad's shirt and seemed to accept Jeremy. He's still Daddy, no matter what facial hair he has.

Pi Day

March 14 was Pi Day.
Jeremy got out a few packages of tortillas to make quesadillas (circles, you know, for Pi Day).  He thought he'd be funny so while I was doing dishes and yammering on about something, he just kept filling those tortillas with cheese and stacking them up.  He thought he'd continue doing it until I noticed and said something.  I often do when he's being "funny."  I totally didn't say anything.  I noticed him starting to stack, but then I didn't pay much attention after that.  Apparently what I was jabbering about must have been so important that I wasn't thinking of anything else.  He made it through all the packages of tortillas before he had to say something to me.  Sigh.
Well, we had a very round tall stack by the end for Pi Day.
As often happens, the littlest kids got creative with making faces out of their food.  I love those kids.

From Apples to Absurdity

Friday, the kids made dinner.  They all helped in one way or another.  Since November 18 is William Tell Day, we listened to the William Tell Overture as they made dinner, including apples.

Yesterday was Have a Bad Day Day.  We didn't.  However with breakfast, several of the children made mad faces with their food.  I think that's a better way of celebrating the holiday.
Today, November 20, is Absurdity Day.  It is also Universal Children's Day.  Today is the Primary Program in Sacrament Meeting.  How appropriate.  Wish us luck.
