Food Nanny Dinner

March 18 was National Sloppy Joe Day. That meant it was time for The Food Nanny's dinner. Sloppy Joes and Rice Pilaf both from "The Food Nanny Rescues Dinner."

My baking buddy helped me make the hamburger buns (rolls).

It was also Forgive Mom and Dad Day. I texted my Mom and Dad to say wonderful things about them and as an afterthought, I told them I forgave them. Tee Hee. I also told my kids to forgive me for things I did.

Father's Day 2022

Father's Day was on June 19.
Kids made Dad breakfast in bed.

The Primary sang, "Daddy's Homecoming," in Sacrament Meeting. Jet heard the music and started singing along with the introduction before the Primary kids started singing. Lucky was rocking out to the music while singing with the other kids on the stand.
Some information about Jeremy was shared in a game in Primary. "Mystery Dad." Lucky got to share about his dad breaking a world record.
Jet got a picture of his family drawn by a nursery worker at church. Jeremy got a cinnamon roll after church from the Relief Society.

While Jeremy took a nap the kids and I made dinner for him. The kids each wrote a note finishing, "My dad is special because..." Sweet children. I stapled the five together so Jeremy was able to see them at dinner.
The kids also decorated paper cups with messages and pictures for Father's Day dinner.
Jr.: What? You told us to put sharpies on the cups.

We used Lucky's lanterns he made us to add to the special dinner atmosphere.
Then the kids took turns passing my phone around under the table to text Jeremy digital Father's Day cards throughout dinner.
Nichole also made a comic on the computer. If you give Nichole a medium...
He enjoyed all of the food and notes he got for Father's Day. I'm glad we were able to make it a good one for him since he's the best.

Jeremy and I each called our dads to wish them Happy Father's Day as well. They're also the best.

Daddy, I Missed You

Daddy's home!  After 5 days in Montana at a convention (and traveling), Jeremy got home Sunday night.  Lucky heard him open the door and went to see what was going on.  As soon as he saw Jeremy, he burst into tears in a "Daddy, I missed you," kind of cry.  He was quite clingy after that and started fussing any time Jeremy left his sight.
All the kids were happy to see Jeremy, as was I, and the boys were thrilled to have him read them a story before bed.
It's so good to have him home.  We all missed him.

The KAT's Meow

Daddy: Jr., are you going to be a daddy someday?
Jr.: Uh huh.
Daddy: Are you going to be the best daddy ever?
Nichole (pipes up from other room): I’m going to be a walrus.
(laughter from Mommy and Daddy)
Nichole: Oops, I mean mom.

A Father and His Baby

Jeremy: Can I tell you? Sometimes it's nice just to have a sleeping baby in your arms.

Happy Father's Day

To a great husband and father who works so hard to take care of his family. We love you always. Hope you get some rest on this Father's Day.
