Summer Reading

We finished the Summer Reading Program for Provo City Library. There were a few last minute activities like with Orem's so the older kids and adults could enter tickets to win prizes.
Nichole did win a prize. She got notification that she won a gift card to a book store.
We got out a few more times to parks and trails for #provostorytrails so the kids and I ended up reading all 9 stories they put up along different trails (Jeremy only missed a couple). The last three were "Vasilisa the Beautiful," "The Golden Cucumber," and "How the Moon Came to Be in the Sky."
I couldn't decide on the pictures, so I included these fun pics as well (Nichole using a photobomb technique she learned from Studio C and Jet with a nice look but Jr. Jr. looking away from the camera)-

One of the activities was to take pictures of yourself at some of your favorite places in Provo so Jet and I went for a drive one day and I did that.
BYU (If you look really closely, you can see the Y on the mountain just to the left of the bell tower)

Costco is technically in Orem and it was supposed to be favorite places in Provo but hey, why not? I got enough pictures in Provo.

Jeremy baked snickerdoodle brookie bars for the family, a recipe from Mel's Kitchen Cafe. So yummy. It was a recipe I'd been wanting to try out so when Jeremy was looking for a snickerdoodle type recipe, I mentioned that one. I'm so glad he took my suggestion.
The recipe made enough so when we were done, Jeremy cut the leftovers into bite sized pieces and put them in the freezer for snacks. They worked really well that way and lasted quite a while.

Provo Library didn't do a finale but everyone who reached their number of reading minutes got a prize (for the three youngest, including Jet, it was a bag of prizes including an age appropriate book. For the four oldest, it was a pocket sized journal). The library had the option of curbside pick-up so we were able to get our prizes while still social distancing.
