Mama Bird and Baby Bird

About a year ago, for a Mother's Day/birthday gift, Jeremy got me a shirt that said Mama Bird on it along with a onesie that said Baby Bird. Oh so cute. I took a picture of them and we texted the picture to some family members. That's how we announced my pregnancy to them. "Look what Jeremy got me for Mother's Day."
I was able to wear my shirt a few times last year on birding field trips and get-togethers.
I obviously haven't been on any birding field trips this year but Jeremy took Jet and me out recently to go birding on a walking trail in Provo.
Our sizes were right so Jet and I got to wear our shirt and onesie.
Aren't we so cute?

Froggy Position

Sometimes I wonder how my son ever fit inside me (I'm somewhat petite but he was a big baby). Then I see him get in this position

and I realize- Oh, yeah, I guess he could fit. And that's why I looked like I had a basketball in my belly at the end of my pregnancy. Or a pumpkin as he was an October baby.

Pregnancy Brain

O.K. A lot of us have gone through this before, but I have really gotten to that point now. Call it what you will. I call it "pregnancy brain."

The other day, I went out to deliver something to a little boy from my Sunbeam class. I had the address of 295 so I was driving along looking for it. I pulled over and saw one address 240 and the house right next to it had the address 298. I couldn't for the life of me find 295 so I went home. I told this to my husband who said to me, "and then you figured out to look on the other side of the street, right?" Even on one side, odd on the other? Oh brother. Of course that did not occur to me. Pregnancy brain.

I went out again and easily found the right house. Sigh.

Oh and to go along with my pregnancy brain, I'm finally getting my puffy pregnancy feet. Just barely. I was thinking maybe my feet won't actually get swollen this time, but alas there they go.

Well, it's a good excuse to put my feet up.
