Recently the kids have been reading "A Series of Unfortunate Events" books. They also watched the movie not that long ago. Since Meryl Streep is in that movie, the kids suggested dinner on her birthday (June 22) be "A Series of Unfortunate Events" themed. I love their cleverness.
So for dinner which is "French for the evening meal" we had roast beef which is "the Swedish term for beef that has been roasted." We had pasta with our version of puttanesca sauce. We also had "nice hot soup" chilled cucumber soup. We also had "soda, soda, banana." We didn't have any "kiwi watermelon surprise" so we had orange soda which Jeremy requested for Father's Day but I forgot to get out.
