Tick Tock Day 2013

It's Tick Tock Day again, December 29.  Time to play catch up about some celebrations I didn't blog about.  I won't be able to get to everything, but here are some:

Some of the latest- I had hot chocolate on Cocoa Day, December 13.  I watched Kung Fu Panda on Monkey Day, December 14 (one of the Furious 5 is Monkey).

Last month, Thanksgiving Point had a Dia de los Muertos celebration on November 1 and 2.  Jeremy built a huge Katrina and some wearable puppets for the event.
We went as a family one of the days.  The kids were able to make crafts.  We looked at displays that were set up as well as some dances that were being demonstrated.

I mentioned last year was the 50th Anniversary of A Wrinkle in Time.  We didn't read the book last year, but this year we did.  The kids enjoyed it.  After finishing the book, we watched the movie.

This year, 2013, is the 50th Anniversary of Encyclopedia Brown.  As you know, our kids love books, so they were happy to get to read so many Encyclopedia Brown books.

There were plenty of other ways we celebrated in 2013, I just didn't get a chance to blog about all of them.
Here's to blogging more about our celebrations in 2014.
