While talking to Nichole about ancestry, I mentioned that she has German ancestors. She got excited. "German? Like the pancakes? So we had Ancestor Pancakes?"
We now have a new name for German pancakes. "Ancestor Pancakes."
I love how
new names for things get started.
We explained the history of the hot dog to the kids... they also originated in Germany. Any guess what Nichole now calls hot dogs?
