Hug a Bear Day and Friends

November 6 was National Nachos Day, not to be confused with International Day of the Nacho which we celebrated on October 21. We ate nachos both days.

November 7 was Hug a Bear Day. I said we should hug anyone who was being grumpy that day. We hugged teddy bears. Not that the teddy bears were being grumpy, it's just that they were the kind of bears that we did hug.

That day was also Color the World Orange Day so we had fajitas with orange bell peppers.

November 10 was Vanilla Cupcake Day. I made vanilla cupcakes. It was also Guinness World Records Day (GWR Day). I encouraged people that day to watch my playlist on YouTube of when Jeremy and Thanksgiving Point broke a world record in 2015.

November 12 was Pizza with the Works Except Anchovies Day. I made the dough and Jr. made a BBQ chicken pizza and a pepperoni pizza for us.

Hug a Bear Day 2019

Lucky got a bear pin from school and loves it. So for Hug a Bear Day on November 7, he showed me how much he loves it by hugging it. It was closed so he didn't poke himself.

Hug a Bear Day 2014

November 7 is Hug a Bear Day.  We did.
Well, Jr. Jr. hugged a bear, a reindeer, and a tree frog.  But that's alright.

Hug A Bear Day 2012

Hug a Bear Day, November 7.  Some reasons we've hugged bears in our home today:
for a blog post picture,
to show love,
for comfort,
when frustrated,
just because.

By the way, the above pictures do not reflect all of these reasons, just the first.  I couldn't decide which picture to use so I used all of them.

Hug A Bear Day 2011

It's Hug A Bear Day today, November 7th. I thought, "I can do a simple blog post for this one. All I have to do is put a picture of the kids hugging teddy bears on the blog and title it, 'Happy Hug A Bear Day.' That'll work."
The two oldest were absolutely in favor of it. So I took some pictures of them.

Then we added Jr. Jr. I don't think he quite got that it was Hug A Bear Day. For him it was more Chuck A Bear Day.

It really entertained the older kids, though. So we got to celebrate this holiday with laughter and silliness.
