enough leftovers to make a feast so I don't have to do any cooking the day after Thanksgiving.

my husband and children being with me on Thanksgiving

the kids deciding to eat their vegetables on this day

the baby letting me get through a whole plate of food

1) The inside used to look like the door

2) I could only do so much with the time I had and with the bending over and reaching and scrubbing as I haven't gotten the go ahead to get back to normal exercise and activities yet after having the baby. I didn't want to overdo it.

a lot of leftovers (and a variety at that)

my daughter's creativity (meet Thumbily Thumbily, the Turkey)

many many more blessings that I get to experience EVERY day.

All Things Fairy

Nichole recently went to a birthday party where the little girls were transformed into fairies.

Before After

She let me know she was a garden fairy.

One of the party favors the girls got were their very own fairy balloons- premade by Jeremy. Nichole chose an animal fairy. Jeremy also made a little fairy house for the birthday girl.

Since then things around our home have been very fairy. Jeremy even made us fairy wings omelettes.

Jr. didn't want a fairy wings omelette. He wanted a "Mommy Days" omelette. Your guess is as good as mine as to what that is. Apparently it's a circle, but that's as far as we could figure out.

Don't you love how you can't always tell what a child is saying based on how they pronounce their words? Sometimes Jr. is very clear, but other times... he requests "Mommy Days" omelettes.

Anyway, I hope everyone has a fairy nice day. :)

Froggy Position

Sometimes I wonder how my son ever fit inside me (I'm somewhat petite but he was a big baby). Then I see him get in this position

and I realize- Oh, yeah, I guess he could fit. And that's why I looked like I had a basketball in my belly at the end of my pregnancy. Or a pumpkin as he was an October baby.

You know how most people don't like it when the red eyes show up in pictures? Well, sometimes it's just appropriate- like when paired with a set of marvelous purple fangs.

I wanted to get a picture of Jr.'s pretty blue eyes

and he was being kind of wiggly. So I told him, "Look normal." This is what I got:

Helpers on a Roll

We went to visit my sister for dinner and the kids wanted to be big helpers carrying our rolls out to the car. They were already each carrying a bag of pretzels to snack on in the car. It was cute to see such big helpers with their arms full.

A conversation a few weeks ago-

Nichole: Is your mom going to come visit?

Mommy: Yes, Grandma and Grandpa are going to come visit us.
Nichole: And are they going to bring something for me?
Pause from Mommy
Nichole: Maybe?
Jr.: We'll see.

Thanks, Mom and Dad for your visit. And thanks for bringing something for Nichole, even though you didn't know she was expecting it.

Back to Business as Usual

Now that you've had time to admire our new baby boy, I can blog about other things again (when I have the chance- being a mom is very time consuming).

Who would have known that soon after I sewed Nichole's Halloween costume Jeremy would have the opportunity to make the same character out of balloons?
