I'm a Helper

Saturday, February 7, had nice weather. I'm glad of it because I walked over to someone's house in the neighborhood to help paint platforms for the school play... twice. Base coat in the morning, texturing in the afternoon.
It was Play Outside Day. It was nice to get out for that short walk (four times because of back and forth) because I have just gotten over a cold so I haven't been out for walks much lately.
Between trips to do that service I made sure to eat ice cream. It was Ice Cream for Breakfast Day. Several people in the family celebrated.
Sadly I was too tired to take anyone to the library for Take Your Child to the Library Day. Oh well.

It was National Fettuccine Alfredo Day but we didn't have any fettuccine so we had rotini alfredo. Mmmm. I love the homemade alfredo sauce we always use. It's from ourbestbites.com and it uses ingredients I always have on hand. Guiltless Alfredo Sauce.
Saturday was a good day.

Let's Travel Through Time

Everybody say, "Merry Christmas!"

December 8 is Pretend to be a Time Traveler Day. So let's travel back in time to last night when we should have decorated someone's door for LightTheWorld after writing nice messages.

We quietly put signs on my sister's door then left a plate of brownies for them as well (we did knock so they would find the brownies, though). December 8 is National Brownie Day.

I also didn't get pictures last night of the kids and their cotton candy so I got a picture today of Jr. giving Jet some cotton candy.

Family Pictures

Since Jeremy and the boys (besides Jet) got haircuts, we wanted to take family pictures since it has been a while since we had a nice family picture. And grandparents would like updated pictures of the kids for their walls.
We had fun.

We started with family pictures. Everyone cooperated except Jet. He would look as Jeremy set up the camera and the timer but as soon as Jeremy came to join the family, he would turn to look at him. It was funny. I appreciate how well all the other kids did, though, and it's hard to expect a baby to look at the camera when there was no one by it to entertain him. It's too bad Jeremy couldn't find the remote to the camera. Then we could have timed it for when Jet was looking in the right direction.
After our family picture, we let the kids go in to play games while we had one child (plus baby) out at a time for individual pictures. It was fun to do nice and silly pictures. Again all the kids did a good job.

I think we parents did a good job as well.
This is us.

Christmas Caroling

Jeremy, Jr. Jr., and Lucky got to do service through Christmas Caroling with the Primary this morning. I asked Jeremy to get pictures of the two little boys and he did.
And silly:

General Conference Weekend

Conference nachos and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for National Peanut Butter and Jelly Day, April 2.
Yeah, we know how to celebrate.
That and going to an open house for one of our college friends who is getting married.  One of the nicest people in the world.  So happy for her.
