Our garden did well while we were on our trips. While Jeremy was back in Utah for a week between fairs, he took out the dead bell pepper plant and put in a banana pepper plant. Mmmmm.

Pacific Northwest Trip 2026- Part 12
Tuesday morning we headed to the coast.
We stopped to see the sea lions at Cape Arago then headed to Shore Acres.
Nichole got pictures of the sea lions.
We spent some time in the botanical garden. Look at the teeny tiny leaves.I got to take pictures of and with the monkey puzzle tree I grew up visiting when we would go to Shore Acres as children.
My parents headed home so they could make dinner. The rest of us headed down to Simpson Beach. Because of the weather, we thought we might not even dip our toes in the cold Pacific Ocean, even though it's tradition. By the time we got down to the beach, though, the weather was beautiful and we spent more than a little time with our feet in the water.

Movie Night!
June 12 was National Movie Night. I was so busy that day. There was pizza dough in the fridge so I told the kids to make pizza and to put fresh basil on it. I got basil from our garden that morning for that reason.
I also told the kids to decide on a movie to watch for Movie Night. They picked Matilda so we watched that while eating pizza and I completely forgot about us having popcorn during the movie. Nobody else mentioned it. Jr. did make some cookies, though.
Matilda was also a good choice because June 12 was Magic Day.

Garden Update
Jeremy wanted to do something special for our garden this year so we put together an irrigation drip system. It was nice to work together to do it. We make a good team. I hope it helps the plants be happy.
The zucchini obviously like it. Above is the difference of 4 days. Both the zucchini and tomatoes are thriving.
One of our bell pepper plants is having troubles. It's been going back and forth between being droopy and being perky. I don't know what will happen with it because I still feel like I don't know what I'm doing. Is it getting too little water? Is it getting too much water? Is it something else? I don't know.

National Smile Day
May 31 was National Smile Day.
Do you know what made me smile that day?
Wishing a Happy 1st Anniversary to my brother and his wife and seeing that they are loving being married to each other.
Do you know what also made me smile that day?
