Just for You, by Mercer Mayer. The little critter goes through saying all these things he wanted to do just for his mom but couldn't because of obstacles such as wanting to make breakfast but the eggs were too slippery, or wanting to carry groceries but the bag broke.

I wanted to read a bedtime story just for you,
But I was too sleepy.

ReplyDeleteIt's so true. Thanks for that comment after my kids have been out of control while we try to watch General Conference. I can just look at this picture and say yes, there are times when my children aren't too wild.
