We had a little more success the second time the kids were assigned dinner. I didn't do anything this time (besides take care of Jet. That's a lot of work itself). The older kids helped the younger kids and Jeremy also helped. He cut up watermelon which Jr. then decided to use as a side dish. Here's what we ate:
Lucky wanted BBQ chicken pizza without onions. I love that he specified that. Nichole made dinner rolls. But of course, she couldn't just make dinner rolls. If you give Nichole a medium... she will sculpt the dough into various shapes then after they are baked, she will put butter on them and sprinkle them with cinnamon/sugar.
Jr. as you know contributed watermelon but also helped a lot with the pizza. For dessert, Jr. Jr. wanted woo-woo (milkshake) so Jeremy helped him make it.
Great job, kids (and Jeremy). Keep up the good work.

National Corn on the Cob Day 2020
June 11 was National Corn on the Cob Day. Nice day for some homemade turkey-black bean burgers, non-homemade fries, corn on the cob, and various other fruits and vegetables.

It Never Ends
The school year is completely over for Nichole yet she still had a teacher bring by a couple more certificates and some big candy bars.

Name Your Poison
June 8 was National Name Your Poison Day. We had breakfast for dinner and to drink, the kids could pick their poison... er… drink. Hot chocolate? Spiced apple cider? Orange juice? A combination? I'm pretty sure Jr. had orange juice in his hot chocolate.

Baker Boys
I love my boys. Recently, Jr. wanted to make muffins but he wanted them to be chocolate muffins. I directed him to a recipe I had on my "to try" list and he made these yummy double chocolate chunk muffins from Mel's Kitchen Café. So yummy.
Lucky was not having the best day. He kept getting hurt (you know those days when it seems like it's just one thing after another). Jr. Jr. made a chocolate chip cookie mug cake for him to help cheer him up. I appreciate the sweetness of that boy.
Once again I love that my boys are learning new skills with baking and cooking. And I love that they are serving others with their new skills, even if it's limited to their family members right now.

Catch of the Day
I found this on the door one night after Jr. Jr. and Lucky had gone to bed and Jeremy was out birding with the oldest two. Awwwww. Thanks, Lucky.

Super Baby
Somehow he managed to get his bib turned around so it looked like a cape.
This is a little bit different than earlier in the year when he also looked like a superhero.
