Waltzing Tradition

You know I love traditions. On March 4 which was Dance the Waltz Day and Marching Music Day and National Sons Day, Jet and I danced the waltz to "Stars and Stripes Forever" in 3/4 time (we've done that in the past)
Then Lucky put on the 1812 Overture and Jet and I spun and spun and spun and spun while Lucky shot cannons (a ball) at us until I was physically sick to my stomach. It was so fun to do that with my sons (though not the sick part).
(I wonder why... Draw your own conclusions)

The Insides of Kristin's Stomach

(One of Lucky's conclusions)

The green aliens rounded up together and started to jump. They started to jump up and down because that's what they're supposed to do when they get woken up because of the stomach rumbling. Also they swung from the intestines and danced on the kidneys all while jumping up and down (somehow). Then they all went back to sleep.

National Dance the Waltz Day 2018

March 4 is National Dance the Waltz Day so grab a friend and do some waltzing.
1-2-3. 1-2-3. 1-2-3. 1-2-3.
While you're at it, watch my newest YouTube video of a couple of 4-year olds dancing the waltz.

The story behind this video:  Lucky and I watched a short tutorial about the basic waltz step.  I told him the most important thing is that it goes 1-2-3 1-2-3.  I made some music box music to go along with our waltz.  We practiced a few times to the music then got together with ZZ.  We told her the same thing.  The most important thing for a couple of 4-year olds to remember is that it goes 1-2-3 1-2-3.  They remembered that part (4-year olds are good at counting) even if it wasn't exactly to the music.  It was more exciting for them to see the music player that was playing the waltzing music so they just kept looking at that while shuffling around the floor.  Kids are fun.
ZZ and Lucky will be making more videos together so check back on my YouTube channel as well as here at my blog to see how a couple of 4-year olds...

I Don't Have Any Pictures For This Post

March 4- National Dance the Waltz Day.  Jeremy explained to me how we celebrated.
We went to a friend's house who played a waltz on a violin while Jr. Jr. and Lucky danced.
We watched the opening sequence of the movie, Strictly Ballroom, which has the characters dancing a waltz.
We watched Doctor Strange, a Marvel movie which is owned by Waltz Disney.
