We didn't go to church today because Lucky's still dealing with some stuff and now I'm not feeling well. Blech.
So instead of going to church (which is preferable), the kids picked up the living room and got out the reverence tent while we watched a few talks from this latest General Conference.
Well, we don't go to the church building when we have General Conference, so I figured if we couldn't go to the church building today, we could still be spiritually uplifted with Conference talks.
Now sitting at the computer to write this short blog post is too much for me so I need to go lie down again. Bye.

LDS General Conference
General Conference time is family time. Which is great because we were reminded again in General Conference how we need families. The plan of happiness is about families. I don't have any exact quotes at this time. Lucky was needing Mommy a lot today so I didn't take as many notes as I sometimes do.
I did get a chance to write down some of the impressions I personally got during Conference, things that I can work on to strengthen my family.
I'm grateful for the opportunity to watch General Conference with my family at home. It sure has changed a lot since I was a kid and we had to get dressed up and go to the church building to watch it broadcast from Salt Lake City. Now we can stay in our pajamas and turn our "reverence tent" toward the computer. Unfortunately the reverence tent only made it a half hour through the first session today before it was taken down. Sigh. Oh well. Maybe tomorrow?

General Conference!
It's General Conference time again. We set up the reverence tent again.
It was cute to see all the kids at the beginning in the tent together as Conference started. Jr. and Jr. Jr. only lasted so long until they were running around, playing, getting their sister frustrated because she was trying to be reverent. I was impressed with Nichole. She stayed in the living room the whole time to listen to Conference. Part of the time she was in the reverence tent and part of the time she was out lying down next to me.
Before the second session, the kids and I took a quick trip to a park. I considered four different parks before we went out and we were on the way to one when I changed my mind and went to one that was closer than the one I had picked because we were running out of time before the second session of Conference. I'm glad I did. It was lovely. Ducks in the pond, people fishing, beautiful cloudy weather, a flat path for the kids to scooter on and I could push Jr. Jr. in the stroller. He loved pointing out the ducks to me.
Both sessions were good and of course there were things that I needed to hear, some good reminders.
I'm looking forward to tomorrow, as well.

For Anyone Else, about General Conference
Another great day of General Conference. More wonderful talks and things I needed to hear.
Jeremy made scones for breakfast and snacking on throughout the day.
The boys took the opportunity during one of the choir songs to reverently dance around.
After Conference was over, Nichole shared a story she made up with characters she drew and cut out of cardboard.
Unfortunately, I didn't hear the end of the story as I fell asleep. I didn't fall asleep during any of the sessions, though.
More scenes from during and after Conference sessions.
The Reverence Tent was put away soon after I was rudely awakened by it landing on my head. That is not the way I wanted to end my nap.
Jr. and I got along today (except for the brief moment with the tent).
I do love these times spent with my family.
