Thank a Mailman Day

February 4 is Thank a Mailman Day.  Yesterday the kids drew pictures and wrote notes to our postal worker and this morning we put them out with a little treat to take and enjoy while working.  The kids even folded the paper and drew on it to make it look like envelopes.  How fun.  This is a fun tradition.

Backwards Day 2017

January 31 was Backwards Day.  That is a day I let my kids wear their clothes backwards to school if they want.  The older two weren't interested in doing that.  Jr. Jr. just wore his pants backwards.  He did wear his backpack to school on his front and carried it home that way.  Lucky, even though he doesn't go to school, wore both his shirt and his pants backwards all day.

We had pizza for breakfast and breakfast burritos for dinner.
We celebrated.
Jeremy says we also celebrated by posting this post after midnight instead of before.

A Different Way to Celebrate

October 27th is Emily Post's Birthday.  Emily Post wrote a lot about etiquette.  We thought it would be fun to teach the kids some things about manners and etiquette.  An etiquette night for Family Home Evening.  It didn't work out.  We didn't have the time.
Instead, Jeremy got a little silly with his celebrating.  He showed us a blog "post" written about our niece, "Emily," for her "birthday."

Get it?  Heh Heh Heh.

Tulip Pictures

I realized when I was writing my blog post yesterday that I don't have any recent nice posed pictures of me.  I don't mean posed tiptoeing through the tulips pictures.  I mean nice, looking at the camera, looking nice pictures.  Like in that blog post.  Special pictures.
Jeremy had to check on his balloon tulips today anyway, so he, Jr. Jr., Lucky, and I enjoyed some more of the Gardens at Thanksgiving Point.  And while we were at it, we got some cute pictures with me in them.

And of course cute pictures with Jr. Jr. in them, since the only picture from yesterday's post with him in it was of him almost completely under a blanket.

We even got a picture with Jeremy and me both in it.  We haven't had a picture like that in a while.  There were some nice people who offered to take a picture with the four of us in it.  They tried to get Lucky's attention.  He wasn't interested.  He was more interested in looking at the tulips.  They also tried to get Jr. Jr.'s attention.  He wasn't interested in smiling at first until Daddy told him, "The sooner you smile, the sooner we can be done."  He immediately put on a happy face and we got the picture.

I love it.  I'm really enjoying the Tulip Festival.  And it wasn't as crowded today as it was Saturday.  Though we did have to park farther away than Saturday.  Odd.  Oh well.
