You Know You're a Birder If...

You drive around the high school parking lot following a crow that is close enough to get pictures with a cell phone camera.

Great job with the pictures, Nichole.

You know you're a birder if... you see a bird across an intersection and it has a certain look to it so you drive around the block several times to find out it's a kestrel.

I See Me

Sick season is no fun. It just seems like one thing after another. Yuck.
But you know what is fun? Sitting on Mom's lap while she's recovering, looking at yourself on her cell phone camera.
Thank you, Jet. You were very helpful. And I'm glad we're over that trouble for now.

National Inane Answering Machine Message Day 2019

Well, it's National Inane Answering Machine Message Day, January 30.  This doesn't quite work the same as before since I don't have an answering machine.  Well, technically I still do, but it's not set up.  What I do have now is voicemail.  Jeremy was kind enough to put an inane message/greeting on my voicemail for me this morning.  So if anyone wants to call, you are welcome to leave an inane message.  It's possible I'll answer, and in that case, just tell me you want to leave a voicemail message and I'll let you call back.  I figure if you're going to be calling me then that means you have access to my phone number and it won't be weird if I answer and you tell me you want to leave a message.  Sound good?  Good.  O.K.  Have a good day and don't expect this to work again tomorrow.  I'll go back to having a normal voicemail greeting tomorrow.

Catch of the Day- Cell Phone

We went to the Orem Public Library and wanted to let the kids play outside in the little courtyard between buildings. As soon as we got to the door, we saw three people outside talking on cell phones. A few minutes later while the kids were playing, Nichole pulled a toy cell phone out of her bag and announced, "I need to call someone."
