This is Mr. Squishy, so named by Jr. Jr.
Mr. Squishy decided one rainy day to crawl next to the door at just the same height as the doorknob. Then it got sunny and Mr. Squishy decided to take a rest there and rested and rested and rested for days.
Every time Jr. would reach for the doorknob to open it, Mr. Squishy would surprise him just by being there. Poor Jr. But it wasn't Mr. Squishy's fault. He was just doing what snails do.
One rainy day, Mr. Squishy felt it was time to move on so he found a place to hide in some nearby leaves. Coincidentally, some of Mr. Squishy's friends decided to hide in some nearby leaves as well.
So on Escargot Day, May 24, I took some pictures of snails in the leaves. There were more than just these and I don't know if any of them were Mr. Squishy or not but that's okay for Escargot Day.
The End
P.S. If you need a reminder, I actually ate escargot last year for the first time. I blogged about it on June 22, 2020.
