Wax and Awards

The day after Screen Free Week was busy. I got to see Lucky be Brigham Young at the elementary school's Wax Museum.
He did such a good job. Ever since the school play, he's loving being dramatic with things. I love his Brigham Young face. Such a fun kid.
Oh, he just corrected me when reading this. "That's not true. I've always loved being dramatic, doing voices and stuff."

That night was a Senior Awards Night at the high school so I got to see Jr. get recognition for some awards. Woohoo. Cool kid.

Then we went home in time to be online for my niece opening up her mission call to... Argentina. I had a brother who went to Argentina on a mission. Jeremy had a brother who went on a mission to Argentina. Fun stuff.

Catching Up on the Last Three Months- 2

Nichole had another orchestra concert toward the end of the school year.  This time she was in the intermediate orchestra instead of the beginner orchestra.  She did a good job again.

For Mother's Day, my family made me breakfast and dinner.  Ahhhh. I love them.
It's obviously a face.  My kids love me.

Also, for a Mother's Day gift, Jeremy sent me on a birding field trip the day after Mother's Day.  Loved it.

Jr.'s grade in elementary school did a wax museum.  Jr. decided to portray Albert Einstein.  I loved his presentation.

Well, that's all for now.  There is plenty more to catch up on so I'll do so later.

Girls' Night

Tonight was a girls' night.  First of all in the evening, we went to see the "wax museum" at the elementary school.  The fifth graders picked a famous person, did research about them, and wrote a report or paragraph about them.  At the wax museum, the kids dressed up as the person and sat still like a statue (or wax figure) until someone pushed a "button" near them.  Then they came to life and told about themselves.  Once they were finished, they became still again.
Wow.  Those kids did such a great job.  Nichole (my girl) did a good job, too.  She was Christa McAuliffe.  She was going to be the first teacher in space, but she was on the Challenger shuttle when it exploded back in 1986.
After we got the kids home, I got to take off for a girls' night at a friend's house.  There were four of us that got together.  We had treats and just talked.  It was so easy to chat with those gals.  It was a well needed time with those women.  Thanks, gals.
