Look Up at the Sky Day

From the lake to the mountains, I did just that. I enjoyed clouds and other parts of nature, including the water of the the lake lapping at the shore and the spotted towhees calling in the mountains. It was a beautiful day.
I love nature.

Here's Another One

I haven't been getting out for walks as much as I'd like lately but I did the other day so here's a picture of the sky, mountains, and me.
Aren't I cute?

To Tide You Over... Again

O.K. Busy busy busy busy.
I know you've been waiting. I have my Valentine's Day post all written out but... issues with pictures so poor you. You're going to have to wait even longer.
In the meantime, how's this for something?
Pretty.
O.K. That's all the time I have for right now.

Things to Share but No Time

I have Valentine things to share but I don't have the time right now.
We had several days of Valentine activities which is why it will take time that I don't have.
Sooooo...
One morning, Jeremy sent me this picture before work.
Oooooh.
I ran out to get a picture of our sky. Not as brilliant, but still cool.
O.K. Thanks. Blog later. Bye.

This Is What I Do

This is what I do. I do a pretty good job of blogging for a while then... stop.
Excuses? Starts out with kids won't get off the computers then when they finally do, I'm too tired. Or I'm too busy. Or I'm too far behind. Or whatever excuse.
So I use it as an excuse to put up pictures of the sky until I get around to catching up.
So... remember all those walks I took at the park during Christmas Break? Being out at dawn/sunrise is a great time for me to see beautiful changes in the sky. It's amazing how quickly it can change.
I figure now is a good time to show a picture (that I didn't already show) of the beautiful sky from Christmas Break.
Such a pretty sky.

Speaking of the pretty sky. There was a night in November when the Northern Lights were showing up again. I was out running errands in town anyway so I got info from a friend and I stopped quickly by a park where I had a view of the red sky.
I didn't have time to go out of town away from the light pollution but I did see them.
I tried to get pictures with the birding camera when I got home but it didn't work out. Oh well.

I Don't Wanna

I don't wanna blog right now. I still need to catch up on dishes.
How about instead of doing a nice blog post, I show you what our sky looked like Tuesday evening?

 Cool, huh? I love nature.

I Predicted This

I'm not surprised.
I felt so good about catching up. I even caught up to the start of September.
I started a few blog posts to get going with September things. I had 4 posts started about holidays at the beginning of September, Shelftember, "Other September thins", and a post about our garden. But as is the way of things, I started one post like this:
"Woohoo. I made it to the same month I'm in while catching up. You know what that means. I'm going to drop off on my blogging because it always seems to be that way when I've almost caught up. Life is crazy and busy, man. Let's see what happens."
I predicted it. I didn't predict I was going to get super duper sick for a couple days then need recovery time then need time to catch up on taking care of my family and house because you can't get anything done when you're that kind of sick. I'm still working on that part. But I finally cleaned my room today after my youngest decided to get out all the toys he could find and spread them around the room while I was sick. I've been washing bedding all day so I'll have a nice clean bed to sleep on in my nice clean room tonight. I decided I can let myself work on my blog for a bit so here we are.
So here is a picture of the sky again. It's what I do when I explain about why I haven't been blogging

Maycember

It’s Maycember. That means so many end of the school year things besides all the other life things. As the Holderness Family says, "It's like December but without all the fun cookies and twinkle lights." Sigh.
That also means when I feel like blogging (i.e. when I am not too tired), I don’t often have access to a computer. Sigh.
So here. Another picture of the sky for you. You’re welcome.

Grumble Grumble Grumble

I want to catch up on my blog but it always seems to be:

I don’t have time.

Someone is on the computer when I do have time.

When nobody is on the computer and I have time, I’m too tired or sick or not motivated.

Sigh.

So here’s a random picture of the sky. I have so many to choose from.

Happy New Year!

Man, it was annoying being sick for most of December. I was feeling better then got sick again right before Christmas. We were all sick for the holidays. Sigh.
I'm doing better again except for that lingering cough I thought I was over half a month ago. Sigh.
So it's time to go into this new year and deal with life.
Happy 2025.
Enjoy this picture of the moon and the sky and the mountains.

I Got Sick

We didn't do some celebrating toward the beginning of December because I got sick again. It is tradition after all. Now that I'm feeling better (except for an annoying cough), I've got to play catch up on what we did do.
We've had some gorgeous mornings in December so enjoy this beautiful sky picture.

By the way, before December came, Nichole celebrated L.M. Montgomery's Birthday on November 30 by naming a piece of music after a character in one of her books.

School Lovers Love School

A few days before school started, a couple people from the junior high came by to drop stuff off for Jr. Jr. and let him know they were excited about having him back for the school year.

Then we had back to school nights/meet the teachers. Teachers asking Jr. Jr. how he feels about school starting. Mixed feelings. Teachers asking Lucky how he feels about school starting. He would rather be at school than at home. Sigh.
Speaking of back to school nights... the high school and junior high had overlapping schedules for that night so Jr. Jr. had to come with us to the high school to meet Jr.'s teachers. And it just so happened there was a big rainstorm. Like big. We luckily didn't get flooded and missed the flooding that was on State Street. We did get soaked just going from the high school front entrance to the van and we did get to see rainbows on the road as we were driving. We were able to drop Jr. off then head to the junior high and luckily it had stopped raining because we had farther to walk to the school from the van. It poured down again while we were in the school.

Jeremy unfortunately had an outdoor show in the rain. Sigh.
When we got home, this was the view from one direction and from another. So different.

At the elementary school back to school night, the students were given a punch card to make sure they took care of certain things (find out where your class lines up, make sure your student info is up to date, visit your teacher) then got a prize for completing it. One of the punches was to take a back to school selfie so Lucky took my phone and got his selfie.

The boys didn't have rain on the first day of school. I did get pictures before school. Yippee!

When I dropped Jr. Jr. off at the bus, he and I had this conversation-
Me: You good for the day?
Jr. Jr.: Just a sec.
(Comes to my door and gives me a hug)
Jr. Jr.: Now I'm good for the day.
Me: Awww.

Besides the snuggles I got from Jet while the boys were at school, I also baked bread because nobody had bread to make sandwiches. Sigh. See how organized and put together I am?

When Nichole started classes a few weeks later, she remembered to send me a first day of school picture. Yay! That's my girl.

Extra Busy

School started so of course we're extra busy, just like we were extra busy when school got out for the Summer.
But look. I found a picture of the sky.
That and Lucky's recent posts will have to tide you over until I get to catching up again.

Oh, I Did

Oh, I did put up a post in October. I thought I had gone the whole month without getting a post up.
Oh, there's so much to catch up on. Sigh. The longer I go, the harder it is to catch up.

Oh well. Here's a picture of mountains and the sky. Not our view down in Utah County. This is taken right outside the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City.

Hey, Look. It's the Sky

To say things have been crazy lately is an understatement. At least one person has used the appropriate word- chaos.
So here is a picture of the sky from a family outing one night to walk along a trail by the lake. Lots of birds and bugs. We didn't think to bring bug spray. It's been a while...

since we last walked.

Please send lots of money so we can rebuild the destruction Jet made at our home and the doctor said my leg would be fine. I hope Jet doesn't go crazy again. Jet right now is stuck in a playpen so he doesn't bite one of us again. I hope he can't get out. Oh no he got out help us all!!! I shall lock myself in my bedroom like last time but there is twenty five locks instead of one. He is hitting the door what if he gets in! He's broken nine of the locks no I mean ten. Wait... he broke ten more only five more to go. How about I hide in my closet. I think he broke all of the locks and is in it won't be long before he finds me I hope he doesn't bite off my arm so I can keep typing. Help!!! He got my other leg I must escape I must run. I got away I will lock him in the house. It worked! He's now stuck in my house. Until next time.

Pictures To Tide You Over

I told you I have a lot of catching up to do. I don't have time right now- priorities- so to keep up with tradition, here is a picture of the sky from one of our many different days of different types of weather in March this year.
It definitely doesn't look like that today. This is what it looked like as I was typing this blog post this morning.

O.K. Enjoy until I'm able to blog again.

I Like Living in Utah

So much to catch up on again. You know what that means.
Time for a picture of the sky.
This one has a lovely mountain in the picture as well. And some clouds. And a tree.
Oh it's beautiful. It's a beautiful place to live.

Another Picture of the Sky

Cold/flu season has hit. Blech. Also things are busy with school, etc. Less time for me to use the computer, more time I have to work on other things, then of course not doing anything for a few days because I got sick.
So here we are. The last couple blog posts were mostly ready to go anyway so I posted them. Now since I've got to catch up again, I'll give you more pictures of the sky. It's my thing.

It's a stalling technique.
We get some pretty amazing skies around here, though. These pictures are from toward the beginning of October. I couldn't decide which picture to put so I did both of them. You're welcome.
