Rationalizing Not Taking Pictures (with some pictures thrown in)

February 23 was National Rationalization Day which is why I can rationalize not taking pictures on that day, even though the kids had chili and toast for National Chili Day and National Toast Day. I didn't have chili and toast. I went to a Relief Society dinner and had Cafe Rio food instead.
I can also rationalize not having pictures for other days. February 26 was For Pete's Sake Day. I used that phrase.
February 27 was International Polar Bear Day and National Pokemon Day. I told my son to clean up his Pokemon figures and we watched some Pokemon type videos. I learned some polar bear facts from Hogle Zoo Instagram page and we watched an episode of The Mysterious Benedict Society (which has a polar bear illustration in the opening credits).

And while I'm in the mood for rationalizing, here are some pictures I took on different days.
We've been having a real Winter. The kids had another actual snow day, which just means nowadays that they do school online at home instead of having a day off. The kids and I decided to go to the library that evening and since the red car was parked behind the van, we had to clean snow off both vehicles in order to get the van out of the driveway. Luckily it was flat surfaces all the way to the library.
We spent maybe an hour at the library but by the time we got back to the van, it had to have snow cleared off it again.

We celebrated Jeremy's birthday.

International Polar Bear Day 2017

February 27 is International Polar Bear Day.  We ate fish sticks (even though polar bears don't usually eat fish).
We also ate caramel crunch bars because the brand had a polar bear on its logo.  Tee Hee.
Jeremy put on a sort of nature show that had polar bears in it.
We spent some time realizing we don't have any movies with polar bears in them, but Nichole mentioned that Studio C has a sketch with a polar bear in it, so we watched some Studio C.
That's how we celebrated this year.

Polar Bear Cupcakes

International Polar Bear Day was February 27.  We made "beary cute cupcakes" from the December/January 2015 issue of FamilyFun Magazine.
They were really easy and really cute.
I did make one substitution.  They called for pink bubble gum for the tongues, but I used a sour strawberry rope thing instead.

Cute polar bears.
Jr. wanted to make his look more like a dog.  Also so cute.
And this guy is not a polar bear nor a dog, but he's definitely cute.

Panda or Polar Bear?

International Polar Bear Day, February 27.  Nichole decided to be a polar bear trainer.  The boys were her polar bears.

I printed out some polar bear mazes for the kids to do.

Jr. found and showed me a book with a polar bear in it.

Jr. also couldn't remember if it was panda or polar bear day.  He kept suggesting activities that had to do with pandas.  "No, we're not going to watch Kung Fu Panda.  It's Polar Bear Day, not Panda Day."

We did have fun with our celebrating... even if it wasn't Panda Day.

International Polar Bear Day 2013

To celebrate International Polar Bear Day, February 27, we ate fish sticks for dinner.

In the car on the way to dance class, we talked about different polar bear facts such as polar bears eat seals and walruses and small whales, but not really fish.

I thought about printing out pictures of polar bears for the kids to color but Jeremy reminded me, "Polar bears are white... surrounded by snow."

Man, I was on a roll today.  Sigh.
