Celebrating with Food Again

February 3 was National Carrot Cake Day. I made carrot cake. I like carrot cake.

It was also Feed the Birds Day so Lucky and I reminisced last year when he was doing the Mary Poppins play on Feed the Birds Day
February 4 was National Homemade Soup Day. I made Ogre Stew. Yumm.
February 5 was World Nutella Day. We had hazelnut spread on tortillas with baby carrots and apple slices.

Carrot Cake Day 2022

Sooooo tired. Too tired to say much more than I managed to make carrot cake this year for National Carrot Cake Day on February 3.

"Yay, me," said in an exhausted voice.

P.S. I also had a carrot cake mug cake earlier in the day just in case I wasn't up to making the regular carrot cake later, but I'm glad I was. And I love cream cheese frosting on the top.

Snow Day!

My children's first ever snow day- school being canceled because of the weather. The weather wasn't actually that bad around here so Jeremy took Nichole and Jr. birding.

The other two school age boys might have missed school that day anyway due to illness but because school was canceled, they didn't miss anything. They were feeling much better by the next day.
In fact, while Jeremy and the older two were gone, the boys already felt up to setting up and knocking down dominoes.

I felt up to making carrot cake for National Carrot Cake Day on February 3. I love carrot cake.

Carrots

Google informed us this morning that November 30 is Lucy Maud Montgomery's birthday.
She was the author of the Anne of Green Gables books.  In Anne of Green Gables, the character Gilbert called Anne "Carrots" because of her red hair.
So to celebrate, we had carrot cake.
Thanks again, Google, for helping us find a reason to celebrate.
