You know we're fans of The Legend of Zelda. The newest game, Skyward Sword, is one of our favorites.
Our kids have also been known to act out Zelda games with balloons.
In Skyward Sword, one of the objects you can use is a metal bug that attaches to your arm with a bracelet and you can send it out flying to cut or bump into objects and later, to pick up objects.
Jeremy recently made one out of balloons for Jr.
Not every kid is able to play with something like that.

National Video Games Day 2011
My kids are spending the evening playing video games. Well, the older two.
Those of you who "Like" Balloon Guy Entertainment on facebook, check out some of Jeremy's video game parody balloons in his "Medium Balloon Designs" and "Large to Giant Designs" albums. You can see some of them on his website as well in the "Parody" gallery.
A friend of mine did a Mario theme for her son's birthday this year. Check out her blog to see some of the things she did for decorations, party favors, games, and especially the cake.
Another friend and her husband dressed up as Link and Zelda for Halloween last year.
What other cool things have you seen people do or have you done yourself to celebrate video games?

Legend of Zelda... with Balloons
We may be the only parents in the world who have children who play act The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask with balloon masks and weapons.

They had bunny ears so they could run faster,
A Cucco (Chicken) mask with an ocarina so animals would follow them.
Of course they needed a sword and shield,
And a fairy in a bottle.
