Crayzy Mayzy Continues

I told you Nichole had another concert coming up. Jeremy and I were able to watch her and to see her get an award on stage. The teacher was handing out a few certificates during the concert. Hers was a "Rehearsal Ready" award because she was one of the kids who was always on time, first to class even, never forgot her music, and was just ready to go. 

Afterward the orchestra kids got "paper plate" awards in the back. That's cute. Nichole got Early Bird and Practice Prodigy. Way to go, Nichole.

The high school had their last official day of classes. Nichole missed them because she went to the state orchestra festival. I made sure to get a picture of her that day, though.

 

Then she had some things to finish up so I got another picture of her today. 

Check out the quilt she made in her sewing/quilting class. 

Our friend, Trina, would be so proud. Trina has been making baby quilts for my children for many years. I'm sure she'll be happy to know Nichole has learned.

Now to survive the rest of the week.

Crazy Mayzy

The school year is winding down. And of course that means May is crazy. I've been calling it Crazy Mayzy. Why not? We still have plenty of holidays coming up even before school is out. Then there's enough after school is out before the end of the month. Crazy Mayzy. But besides holidays there are all the end of the year school things going on. Some of the school stuff ends the week before the last week of school making the last week of school basically a fun week. Some things keep happening all the way up until the end of school. Nichole has another orchestra festival coming up so will miss one of the last actual class days to go to that. She is also playing with her orchestra at the high school graduation. Last year they just recorded them but this year the orchestra will actually play live at graduation. Jr.'s orchestra will perform in an assembly the last day of school. Nichole still has another concert coming up this week but Jr. had his last concert of the year last week. It was great. I didn't take a picture of him before the concert so I took one after. Of course he left his cello at school so I didn't get a picture of him with it for the after picture. Oh well. I've taken plenty of pictures of him with the cello before. I did get a picture of him with his cello during the concert. So we're good. Anyway. Time to continue with Crazy Mayzy.
