Fragrance Day 2012

It was a big day for us. Fragrance Day, March 21. What better day to clean the carpets with a big machine and smelly solution?

Jr. Jr. was a little wary of the carpet cleaner.

Jeremy and I both did vacuuming, then Jeremy cleaned carpets and the boys and I went out to a park until he was done.

When he was done we picked him up and went out to eat and play.

Jr.: I love my family... and Sprite.

After school, Jeremy went over a few areas again with the carpet cleaner and we all headed out while the carpets dried-ish. It takes them 3-4 hours to mostly dry, but there are still a few wet spots here and there, so be careful where and how you walk.

Since it was Fragrance Day, we wanted to go to a park where we remember there were lots of flowers, forgetting of course that even though it's officially Spring, it snowed the other day and there aren't a lot of flowers in bloom (or any at that park). Just dandelions in front of our place.

Instead, we headed to another park with TWO playgrounds.

We picked up a pizza for dinner, and headed back to the first park we had gone to that day, since we only got a few minutes earlier before we had to pick up Daddy and told Jr. we'd go back if there was time.

There was time. We ate pizza, blew bubbles, and played with balls.

We ended the evening with ice cream at Macey's.

Jr.: We should come here every day.

When we got home, the floor was still a little wet, so after the kids got their pajamas on, I carried them to their beds. They were okay with that.

It was a good family day.

  1. Fun Spring Day. Maybe after the snow melts, the sun pokes through, it stops raining, and stops flooding we might recognize spring too. Hopefully we won't have wait to come to Utah to find out.

  2. Who knows? You've had more of a Utah winter than Utah.

    We ate blue bubbles?

[I read to him, "We ate pizza, blew bubbles..." He heard, "We ate pizza, blue bubbles..."]

    1. Knowing the kind of activities your family does, eating blue bubbles doesn't sound all that unlikely.

    2. We used to have edible bubbles.
