Today was a good day. It started out rough as most days have lately during this organizing our apartment business. But, we all went for a drive through the haze (Utah is dealing with really bad air quality- smog- right now), to Ikea. We spent hours there, mostly in the kid section so our kids could have a good break and be able to run around a lot. We picked up some art paper for me and the kids and a new mattress pad for our bed so we could finally throw our old one away. The kids were so good at the store, and Nichole saw a sign on the way out for hot dogs and really wanted one. But we figured we could do better than that. Instead of buying hot dogs for everyone at Ikea, we just stopped at the grocery store on the way home and picked up a package of hot dogs and a package of hot dog buns, enough for us each to have two, and cheaper in the long run as well.
This evening, the kids and I had a pretend tea party in their room, in their nice clean and organized room, the one room in this place right now that is clean and organized.
Then we got out Nichole's kitchen set she got for Christmas so she could make us pretend chocolate cookies. How thoughtful she is.
Looking at this picture with all the dishes everywhere reminds me of what my kitchen looks like right now.
We did have a rough start to our day, but it turned out pretty nice in the end. And now that the kids are asleep, onto organizing some more.
Ikea is awesome! So are their cinnamon rolls, yum! Glad your day turned out to be a good one. :)
