We offered to watch our friends' children while they were doing school and work today. We benefited by having the children over to play with our children. Anna is Nichole's best friend and they are always happy to get together. Since these are friends we're having at our Christmas dinner tomorrow, we had all the kids continuing to make placemats. Anna made dots on her placemat because her mom likes dots. She let us know that her mom will be very pleased. And she was when she came to pick the kids up. Anna was happy to show her what she'd done and was reluctant to leave it here overnight so I could finish it up by putting contact paper on it. I assured her that she would get to take it home tomorrow, though.
The other children also had their own style of art they demonstrated on the placemats. Nichole liked to push hard on the markers to make the colors darker. Jr. took the acrobatic approach sticking his legs over the back of his chair. And the youngest tried to eat the crayons. Oh what fun to do crafts with children of different ages.
