January 16 is Appreciate a Dragon Day.
After school, I showed the kids a picture of a house that looked like a castle. That goes along with dragons, right?
This evening Jr. and Jr. Jr. watched The Reluctant Dragon while Nichole and Daddy had a date. Jeremy taught her how to draw a dragon. How fun is that?
Jeremy decided to draw a dragon head, too.
Some other ideas for celebrating Appreciate a Dragon Day are:
Write a note/letter telling a dragon how you appreciate it.
Photograph toys as seen from a dragon's view (above) and appreciate the dragon for not eating you.
Make a princess, knight, and dragon out of balloons or pipe cleaners to play with.
Jr. Jr.: On Appreciate a Dragon Day, we should have dragon carrots.
ReplyDeleteMommy: Dragon carrots? What are dragon carrots?
Jr. Jr.: Carrots the size of a dragon.
Mommy: Whoa. Those would be big carrots.
