In honor of the anniversary of the first zeppelin flight on July 2, 1900, here is a zeppelin bend:
To celebrate, besides taking pictures of that knot, we made things fly through the air. In this case, foam darts from PVC.
Speaking of the zeppelin bend, there is a story that there was a navy officer that insisted that his airships only be moored using this knot (hence the name). Later on in his life, though, he said that he'd never heard of it. Hmm. Interesting.
