While you were at work, dear husband, I asked our son several times if he ate his rice and cheese. Always the answer was, "Yes." When I went to the kitchen to see, this is what I found on the table:
Again I asked with the plate right in front of him if he ate his rice and cheese. Again the answer was, "Yes." How do we teach our 3-year old about telling the truth when I don't think he realizes he's lying?
Joey always says she has finished her food when we ask her, too. Maybe they don't understand the question entirely?
ReplyDeletehe may have eaten it...just not all of it. Your husband was the master of those type of answers (it might be genetic)
ReplyDeleteMaybe the trick would be to ask if he ate ALL of his rice and cheese. He is probably thinking that he did eat his rice and cheese, he just didn't eat all of it.
ReplyDeleteThanks, everybody. I was thinking that, too. "I did eat it," since he ate some of it.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks, Chris. Now I know who to blame. But shhhhh, there are plenty of things the kids got from me, too.
